The Buffalo News previewed SHAED's SOLD OUT 2/22 show at Rec Room Buffalo as one their 3 picks this week!
SHAED, 7 p.m. Feb. 22, Rec Room (79 W. Chippewa St), $1.07. (Sold out)
Synth-pop trio SHAED will be riding the buzz into downtown Buffalo. The lush Washington, D.C. trio will visit the Chippewa hot spot to perform songs from its latest EP "Melt," shared this past September.
After its ethereal single "Trampoline" was featured in a recent MacBook Air ad campaign, the moody group's new found exposure has taken it back on the road, this time in a headlining role for the first time. Fans of Florence and the Machine, Laurel and Bishop Briggs should find the trio to their liking.
Like the Dirty Nil's show earlier this month, SHAED's visit to town will again be under Alternative Buffalo's "You Saw Them First" umbrella. The sell out makes it two for two during February for the radio station's uber-cheap concert series.
Hypnotic electro act Space Cubs and riffy alt-rock band Johnny Hart & the Mess will provide local support.
