Last night (Tuesday, November 14th), the Australian band Sheppard brought a light-hearted carefree energy that probably hasn’t been on the Sunset Strip for awhile. For about an hour, the pop group entertained the full crowd at the Hollywood venue, Roxy. Called the Edge Of The Night Tour, they are supported by either Romes and Hailey Knox on these set of US dates.
Formed in 2009 in Brisbane, Australia, Sheppard is currently made up of George Sheppard (lead vocals, keyboard, piano), Amy Sheppard (lead vocals, keyboard, harmonica), Michael Butler (lead guitar, backing vocals), Jason Bovino (rhythm guitar, backing vocals), Emma Sheppard (bass, backing vocals) and Dean Gordon (drums, percussion, backing vocals). Despite just having one full-length studio album called “Bombs Away” under their belt, two summers ago, their was no escaping their hit single “Geronimo” which was heard everywhere. In fact, the track spent three weeks at No. 1 on the ARIA Singles Chart and was certified 5× platinum.
