Rising Bay Area band HEARTWATCH has announced being one of 2016’s headlining acts for the Noise Pop Music Festival in San Francisco February 24 at The Independent among other headliners such as Carly Rae Jepsen, Metric and Parquet Courts.
The SF Noise Pop Music Festival heading into its 24th year of indie music, arts and film displays a variety of music genres starts February 19 through February 28. Various San Francisco venues such as The Fillmore, Bottom of the Hill, Great American Music Hall provide the festival with some of the best local acts in the Bay Area.
The indie pop band, HEARTWATCH, recorded their first official album in Portland, Oregon with producer/engineer Damien Lewis who has also worked with Kimbra, Marina and the Diamonds among others. The San Francisco five piece features Claire George (vocals), Eric Silverman (guitar, keys), Rowan Peter (guitar, vocals), Nate Skelton (bass), and Kern Sigala (drums) formerly under the name The Tropics. Steadily rising with local buzz and having recently headlined at the Rickshaw Stop, the band officially changed their name to HEARTWATCH. They have also performed at Outside Lands in October 2015.
Their single "Faultlines", from the upcoming album, is upbeat and contains catchy local Bay Area lyrics with "meet me in the middle of the Golden Gate". Look for their self-titled album available February 26.
