Stunt Company first opened its doors on February 2, 2001—and have been going strong ever since. We handle PR for a wide variety of artists on every level. Just check out our past and present roster as well as our services.
Stunt was started by Sue Marcus, who began her career at Roadrunner Records in 1989 where she handled press for a variety of artists including Sepultura, Shelter, Type O Negative, Kevin Salem, Blue Mountain, Fear Factory, Venus Beads, Lazy, Karma to Burn, and Baby Fox. In 1995 she accepted a job at Mercury Records where she handled press for 1997′s Mercury Music Prize Winner Roni Size/Reprazent, Joan Osborne, 4Hero, Mono, Boyzone, Nashville Pussy, all the Mouth Almighty artists (Maggie Estep, Beau Sia, William S. Burroughs, Timothy Leary, etc), The Refreshments, Jim Carroll, and Spalding Gray among others. She managed to stay with the label through the merger in 1998 with Island and Def Jam and continued to do press at Island Def Jam where she added to her roster: Hanson, The Cardigans, MJ Cole, Kim Richey, Insane Clown Posse, Mikaila, and Krust.
In addition, Sue is joined by Alexandra Comito who originally interned for the company when she was at NYU. After school Alexandra moved to LA for a short stint before returning and joining Stunt Company as a full-time member in Winter 2010. Rounding out the core team is Mike Jones aka KUATO (DJ and producer who is also the co-founder and co-owner of Party Guy Records). And then there’s Delmaur Thompson, who comes in once a week and has been with Sue since day one. Delmaur is responsible for keeping our books balanced. We also have some amazing interns (Lindsay Bailey, Mike Zorilla) who we would be lost without. Each person in the Stunt family has something special and unique to offer. We couldn’t be more thrilled to have such a great group of people to work with.
